Dance
BURLESQUE
Regular monthly classes and workshops are held in this dance style, see the timetable for details. Book your session for a party or hen night now!
Fitness can be improved as it enhances mobility and endurance, improves your posture, gives you a little stretch and relaxes you from sheer humour. It is not a dance style that can be taken too seriously as it stems from self mockery to a certain extent, but it is guaranteed to make you feel a little more feminine (even the men!), and probably the best laugh you have had in a dance fitness class for a long time…
Individual sessions and small groups can be pre-booked by arrangement, and it is an ideal session to book for a girls night or hen night.
Wear comfortable clothing – casual or a little dressed up, and if you can cope with shoes with a heel it does make so much difference to the look and the feel of the moves. ALL ages are welcome as well (16+) and you are never too old to strut your stuff.
Monthly workshops are held in Malvern, usually at the end of the month. Check the What's on page for dates.
BELLY DANCING
Regular classes in this ancient art run every week in Malvern. Monday morning at 11am, Wednesday evening at 6.45pm and Friday at 10.30am. The classes are just £5 with discounts for 60+ years or block bookings.
Belly dancing is great fun, the music is lively and varied, and it suits all ages. It is a cultural dance form danced by toddlers to the elderly, makes you feel fantastic, improves stamina, coordination, mobility and posture, and releases oodles of pent up stress if you have any!
Just wear comfortable loose fitting clothes and light shoes. You are welcome to dress up a little and we have a few spare hip scarves to borrow.
Classes are held at the Holy Trinity church Hallat Link Top on Worcester Road, and in the Dance Studio at the Christopher Whitehead Language Academy in Worcester.
Workshops are run occasionally throughout the year on weekends, so just keep an eye out for those. |
